Apprentice Business Administrator (Level 3)
Location: Rural East Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:15pm
Salary: National Minimum Apprenticeship Wage
Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Have you recently finished your A-levels or college and are looking for your next opportunity?
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Business Administrator to join our friendly team at RW Equine Vets.
This is an excellent opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining valuable workplace experience alongside a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification delivered through The Link Training.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, has a positive attitude and isn't afraid to get stuck in. You'll become part of our close-knit team, supporting both our office staff and veterinary team while learning how a successful equine veterinary practice operates.
What you'll be doing
Your role will include:
- Supporting our busy office team with day-to-day administration.
- Answering customer telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Booking and managing appointments.
- Preparing laboratory submission forms.
- Producing client estimates.
- Supporting our vets through our WhatsApp communication groups.
- Delivering equipment and supplies to vets working out on the road.
- Helping keep the surgery, office and storerooms clean, tidy and well organised.
- Assisting with sweeping up and mucking out our inpatient areas when needed.
About you
This apprenticeship would particularly suit a recent school or college leaver who:
- Has recently completed A-levels or college and is looking to begin their career.
- Has a positive, enthusiastic and can-do attitude.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is organised, reliable and eager to learn.
- Is confident speaking to customers and providing excellent customer service.
- Is happy to get involved in a wide variety of tasks.
- Has good basic IT skills.
- Has basic horse knowledge and experience around horses.
Essential requirements
As we're based in a rural location with very limited public transport, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle to travel to and from work.
This role includes occasional driving to deliver equipment and supplies to our vets while they are out on visits, so being a confident and reliable driver is essential.
What we'll offer you
- Full support throughout your Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with The Link Training.
- A recognised qualification while earning and learning.
- Hands-on experience in a busy and rewarding equine veterinary practice.
- Training in administration, customer service and veterinary practice systems.
- A varied role where no two days are the same.
- A friendly, supportive team who will help you develop and grow.
If you're hardworking, enthusiastic and looking for a career where you can learn new skills every day, we'd love to hear from you.
- Closing date for applications: Friday 21st August.
Pay: £15,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
