Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Cleaner to join our healthcare cleaning team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of clinical areas, including patient rooms, operating theatres, corridors, and communal spaces
- Use specialised cleaning agents and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitiser, tissues, and cleaning materials as required
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ensure waste disposal complies with hospital policies, including handling hazardous waste safely
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Experience working within hospital or healthcare environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and hospital cleaning standards is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
