Full-time/part-time Trust Doctor in Genitourinary Medicine with or without an on-call commitment. They are replacing vacancies at specialty registrar level in the Department and are therefore available immediately. These posts are fixed term until February 2027 in the first instance but may subsequently be extended to August 2027 pending national specialty training recruitment outcome.
These posts will support the HIV outpatient medicine team and Leeds Sexual health integrated sexual health service, based at Leeds General Infirmary and Leeds Sexual Health service sites. If there is oncall slot capacity and competence, on call commitment is with fellow Specialty registrars in GU medicine & Infectious Diseases/Combined Infection training on the current joint rota for the Infectious Diseases ward at ST James’ University hospital, which is 1 in 6-8 on average. You would be expected to do an evening GUM clinic 1 week in 3, until 8pm as part of your oncall banding.
The successful applicant will be at ST 1-2 level or 3+ years post registration experience having completed an accredited core training programme. Given the complex care requirement +/- oncall commitment at registrar equivalent level, the appointee must hold a basic medical qualification ie MBBS/MBChB or equivalent and full MRCP with PACES (or equivalent) is desirable. CoSRH/ specialty diplomas +/- procedural letters of competence in contraception are desirable.
