We're expanding rapidly and are looking for an experienced Geospatial Surveyor / Survey Engineer to join our growing team. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Geospatial Surveyor/Engineer to join our team either on a full-time basis or as a freelance contractor. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building surveying and geospatial data collection, utilising advanced tools and software to support the design of social housing retrofits, tower block façade renewals, general construction, and land development projects. Your expertise will help ensure precise mapping, data accuracy, and seamless project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that shape the landscape and urban environments while leveraging cutting-edge geospatial technology.
The Role
You'll be responsible for planning and undertaking a wide variety of surveying projects including:
- Topographical Surveys
- Measured Building Surveys
- Utility Surveys (desirable)
- Laser Scanning
- Mobile Mapping
- Drone Survey Support
- Setting Out (advantageous)
- Control Surveys
- Monitoring Surveys
- Processing survey data and producing deliverables
- Liaising directly with clients and project teams
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' surveying experience
- Strong understanding of surveying and GNSS/RTK equipment and software
- Competent processing survey data
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
- Experience using Leica Cyclone, Nira, Infinity, LSS or similar software
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD
- Point cloud processing experience
- UAV/Drone survey experience
- GPR Utility Survey experience
- Knowledge of the retrofit environment beneficial
- GVC Drone Qualification

Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using GNSS/GPS drones, and other geospatial equipment to gather accurate spatial data.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings utilising specialist CAD software to visualise survey results effectively.
- Manage and analyze geospatial data sets to support project planning, design, and construction activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate survey data into project workflows.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards during fieldwork operations.
- Maintain meticulous records of survey activities, data logs, and equipment calibration schedules.
- Assist in the development of survey methodologies tailored to specific project requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in land surveying or geospatial engineering within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, CAD software, and other GIS (Geographic Information System) tools.
- Strong understanding of land surveying techniques, including GNSS/GPS technology
- Experience in data management practices for large geospatial datasets.
- Familiarity with construction processes and on-site survey support is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate field measurements into accurate digital models.
- Prior work experience in a fast-paced environment that requires precision and attention to detail.
