Due to continued expansion, our client is interested in speaking with ambitious and driven Technical Motor Claims Team Managers to join their dynamic claims division.

Job Purpose
As a Team Leader you will be working towards the vision & strategy of our client's Group. You will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of Claims Advisors providing motivation, clear direction and performance assessment to aide delivery of excellent customer service, as well as controlling indemnity spend.
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Motor Team Leader to lead their clients specialist motor claims team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong technical claims expertise and leadership capability to drive team performance, support operational excellence, and deliver exceptional service standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing workload distribution, developing team members, maintaining compliance standards, and strengthening relationships with brokers, coverholders, and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that service level agreements, quality standards, and team objectives are consistently achieved while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively allocate and manage workloads across the team in line with service level agreements, client requirements, and departmental KPIs.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing performance management.
- Identify training and development needs, ensuring all team members remain competent and compliant with regulatory and client requirements.
- Review and monitor individual and team performance, implementing support plans where required to achieve business objectives.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex technical claims, complaints, and stakeholder enquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, coverholders, insurers, and clients through effective communication and service delivery.
- Provide timely updates to brokers, coverholders, and stakeholders regarding urgent matters, claims developments, and business-critical communications.
- Take responsibility for team management activities including annual leave, sickness absence, probation reviews, one-to-one meetings, welfare discussions, and employee wellbeing.
- Take ownership of departmental projects, process improvements, and additional workstreams to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
What our client is looking for:
- Previous experience within motor claims handling, including technical and complex claims.
- Strong knowledge of motor claims processes, indemnity principles, liability, credit hire, repair, and total loss claims.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience producing high-quality reports and presenting information to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, coverholders, and colleagues.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership.
