Industrial Paint Sprayer – Night Shift

As demand continues to grow and our Ecclesfield operation expands, we’re now looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Paint Sprayer to join our night shift team.
This is a hands-on role within a busy, production-led environment, working on large fabricated steel structures where quality, finish and consistency genuinely matter.
The Role
Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for preparing and applying industrial coatings to large steel fabrications in line with customer specifications and required standards.
The role operates on a night shift pattern (Monday to Thursday, 12-hour shifts), with overtime opportunities available on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint large steel structures to customer specifications on finish and coating thickness
- Accurately mix and prepare paints prior to application
- Apply coatings using airless, air-assisted airless spray pumps and conventional pressure pot spray guns
- Work confidently with two-pack paint systems, including epoxy primers
- Maintain strong health and safety standards at all times
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules, both independently and as part of a team
- Work at height and, where required, in confined spaces
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a commercial or industrial paint sprayer
- Experience within a UK manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of industrial spray equipment and coating systems
- A conscientious, self-motivated approach with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working at pace in a production environment
- Willingness to complete a spray test prior to any job offer
Qualifications (Advantageous)
- TTP (Train the Painter)
- ICATS (Industrial Coating Applicator Training Scheme)
- AQA paint training or a relevant apprenticeship
- Relevant industry experience will always be considered
