Hygiene Operative

We are seeking to recruit a Nightshift Hygiene Operative to join our Team at Graham’s Family Dairy – Cowdenbeath, working 5 nights over 7, 40 hours per week.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.
As Hygiene Operative you will be responsible for cleaning the equipment and production areas, carry CIP cleaning, following scheduled cleaning routines and procedures. This position is essential to ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all daily, weekly & monthly cleaning tasks as per schedule.
- Cleaning of processing equipment, production lines and machines to meet required standards.
- Deep cleaning of production areas as per schedule.
- Ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed to reflect task carried out.
- Complying with company procedures for Health & Safety and Hygiene.
- Aligning with sites food safety and quality culture protocols.
- Ensuring a strong vigilant approach to personal hygiene throughout working hours.
- Reporting any incidents or concerns to your supervisor/manger.
What we are looking for :
- Previous experience in hygiene in withing food manufacturing/producing – desirable
- Flexibility on working hours and demands of the role.
- Someone with the ability to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience with manual handling
- Experience with Clean-in-place (CIP) systems and dairy processing equipment – desirable but training will provided
- Meticulous in day-to-day approach.
Skills and Qualification :
- Understanding of cleaning and disinfection process as well as personal hygiene
- Ability to follow procedures, work as part of team with minimal supervision
- COSHH & Food Safety level 2 – desirable
- Good manufacturing practice knowledge.
All Hygiene/Food manufacturing trainings are desirable but will also be provided on site.
Pay: £13.07 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
