Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Hotel Night Receptionist to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring our guests experience a warm welcome and receive exceptional service throughout their stay. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling guest enquiries, and maintaining the smooth operation of the reception desk during night hours. Multilingual or bilingual abilities, along with previous hotel experience, are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions and service quality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with excellent phone etiquette.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the hotel management system.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain security protocols during night hours, including monitoring CCTV and ensuring guest safety.
- Process payments securely and accurately for accommodation and additional services.
- Handling Room Service requests
- Completing the night audit and reporting
- Keep the reception area tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and facilities are operational.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Excellent communication skills with good phone etiquette.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous to assist diverse guests effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude towards guest service.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of service.
