Job Summary
Prestige Motor Mechanic is a vital role within our automotive service centre, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks efficiently.
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Carry out welding and equipment repair as required to restore vehicle integrity.
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts utilised for each vehicle.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client queries professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience as a motor mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
- Prior experience working with automotive electrical systems is desirable but not essential.
