Job Summary
We are looking for a Multi-Drop delivery driver to join our existing team on a self employed basis for our contract with DPD delivering from the Durham depot.
Working days are Sunday to Thursday.
This position is paid monthly with a cut off date at £110 per day plus £1 a stop after 100 parcels, with Van Hire, Insurance and Fuel supplied at no cost to yourself.
Full delivery training provided, you will go out in a van with an experienced driver until you are deemed competitive in the role - this is paid at a lower rate.
Requirements:
The right candidate will have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work well on their own initiative and as part of a team. If you are interested in being a Multi- Drop Delivery Driver and can supply a Basic DBS, Right to Work in UK evidence and also a DVLA check code then please apply. The right candidate will be over 21 for insurance reasons, must have minimum 1 years driving experience and be able to drive up to a 3.5T Van (Mercedes Sprinter size). Must have a maximum of 6 points on driving licence, but nothing for dangerous driving, drink driving or driving with no insurance. Must be able to pass random Drug and alcohol tests.
Responsibilities
- To be confident in multi-drop deliveries and able to complete all deliveries on a pre-planned route in a timely and safe manner.
- To check goods off with customers on delivery, obtaining full proof of delivery using your own device which also navigate you to each delivery.
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for a 3.5t vehicle, with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parcel handling.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively across multiple deliveries.This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and delivering exceptional service on behalf of DPD.
Pay: £110.00-£170.00 per day
