Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of construction sites, commercial buildings, or designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
- Use specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to meet health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of communal areas such as toilets, kitchens, and break rooms to ensure a hygienic environment for all workers
- Follow site-specific health and safety protocols while working efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of cleaning stations or equipment as needed
- Report any hazards or maintenance issues to site supervisors promptly to uphold safety standards
- Adhere strictly to the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card requirements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail
- Familiarity with cleaning tools, machinery, and chemical products used in construction or commercial environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding setting
