About our client
Our client is a 63-year-old female living in Eastleigh Hampshire in their own fully adapted property. She is looking to expand her care team and introduce some additional members of staff.
Our client sustained a traumatic brain injury and neck fracture 28 years ago and suffers with long term effects including physical, speech, cognitive, emotional and behavioural.
The client has been described as a free-spirited, spontaneous, unpredictable, daring, independent, and highly creative individual, characteristics that continue to be evident today. More recently, she has developed a particular enjoyment of writing poetry as a means of expressing her thoughts and feelings. She also enjoys listening to Absolute 80s Radio, playing word games, and engaging in creative activities such as drawing and painting.
About you
Our client is looking for the following attributes in her PAs;

· someone who does not take offence or get upset if our client displays challenging behaviour
· someone who is proactive and observant to be able to manage complex situations
· able to work well in a team and be reliable as our client needs consistency
· someone who can empower and respect our client to be as independent as possible
· calm under pressure and able to adapt to new situations
· strong effective communication, be able to speak and write in English
· a person-centred approach with excellent organisation skills

The role
The role we are looking for is a variety of shifts over Monday- Sunday (Early, Late and alternate weekend shifts on a rota basis) with flexibility to pick up extra shifts with cover for other team members holiday and sickness including occasional Night cover.
Full and part time contracted hours available (Minimum of 18 hours per week)
You will need to have care experience preferably within brain injury or within challenging behaviour services. You will receive mandatory care training online and attend specialist clinical training in moving and positioning, medication administration, de-escalation with breakaway training.

£15.71ph

Harland Care Services LTD in NOT an agency and you will be employed for the client and all shifts offered are on a rota basis with a contract. This is not ad-hoc work.
