East Durham College is looking for an experienced Dog Grooming professional to join our team on an hourly paid basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to share your industry knowledge and help develop the next generation of dog grooming professionals. You will deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, support students to achieve their qualifications, and create a positive learning environment that encourages success.
We're looking for someone with strong industry experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting learners. A recognised teaching qualification and relevant vocational qualifications are essential.

Industry-recognised qualification in Dog Grooming or a related subject area.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Recognised post-16 teaching qualification.

Significant experience within the Dog Grooming industry.

Experience of teaching and assessing learners.

Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining industry knowledge.

Experience of internal quality assurance activities.

Experience of monitoring student progress through college systems.

Experience contributing to curriculum design and development.

Ability to support and mentor colleagues and trainee teachers.
