Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and a solid background in pub, restaurant or hotel environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. Previous experience in food preparation and supervising teams will be highly valued.
Duties
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
- Oversee reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimise the dining experience
- Manage staff training to foster a motivated team environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the venue
- Assist with food presentation and service when necessary, including serving guests and supporting food production teams
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth communication between front and back of house
- Monitor stock levels of dining supplies and assist in ordering to maintain operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, cooking, and food presentation techniques
- Experience in food service roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
- Familiarity with culinary processes, food production, and kitchen operations is desirable
- Previous leadership roles demonstrating organisational skills and the ability to manage busy service periods effectively
- Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices including customer service excellence and operational management
