Laboratory Technician
Location: Gravesend, UK
Hours: Standard 40-hour week, Monday to Thursday, 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-14:00

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our onsite laboratory team in Gravesend. Working closely with our blending, filling and operational teams, you will play an important role in ensuring that our lubricant products meet the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on role, combining laboratory analysis, quality testing, record keeping and operational support. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a technical and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support blending and filling activities by performing analysis on all products
- Ensure supplied samples meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate laboratory data, records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively at all stakeholder levels
- Support formulation development activities where required
- Complete calibration checks on laboratory equipment
- Conduct testing on plant recycling blend materials
- Carry out packaging and product checks
- Generate customer Certificates of Analysis (CoAs)
- Ensure all testing and laboratory activities are carried out accurately and in line with company procedures, quality standards and safety requirements

- Organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data, measurements and laboratory equipment
- Able to follow procedures and work accurately and consistently
- A strong communicator who works well with colleagues across different operational teams
- Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Desirable:
- Previous experience within a Laboratory or Quality environment.
- Previous experience within a factory environment.
