We are recruiting experienced FLT Reach Truck Drivers to join or clients busy food manufacturing and distribution site.
This is a Monday-to-Friday position with Day, Noon/Afternoon and Night shifts available. You will work one permanent shift pattern – these shifts do not rotate, giving you consistent working hours each week.
The role will involve operating a Reach Truck across the warehouse and storage areas, including working within a cold store environment where temperatures can reach approximately -20°C.
Appropriate cold-store PPE and protective clothing will be provided, and candidates should be comfortable working in low-temperature environments as part of their role.
Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Reach Truck safely and efficiently
- Moving raw materials, finished products and stock around the site
- Putting pallets away into designated racking locations
- Retrieving and replenishing stock as required
- Loading and unloading goods
- Working within ambient, chilled and frozen storage areas
- Carrying out work within the cold store at temperatures of approximately -20°C
- Completing daily FLT safety checks
- Ensuring products are stored and handled correctly
- Following food manufacturing, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within warehouse areas
- Completing general warehouse duties when required
Shift Options
All positions operate Monday to Friday, with a choice of:
- Day Shift: [Insert Hours]
- Noon/Afternoon Shift: [Insert Hours]
- Night Shift: [Insert Hours]
You will be allocated to one shift only. This is not a rotating shift pattern.
Cold Store Working
As this is a food manufacturing environment, cold store working is an important part of the position.
Candidates must be comfortable:
- Working in frozen storage areas with temperatures reaching approximately -20°C
- Moving between different temperature-controlled areas
- Wearing the appropriate thermal PPE and protective clothing provided
- Following cold-store working and food hygiene procedures
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
- A valid Reach Truck FLT licence/certificate
- Previous Reach Truck experience
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing or distribution experience
- The ability and willingness to work within a -20°C cold store environment
- A good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable timekeeping and attendance
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience within food manufacturing, chilled, frozen or temperature-controlled warehousing would be advantageous but is not essential.
