Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and floors to uphold strict hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with ingredient replenishment and stock organization to ensure smooth workflow.
- Dispose of waste responsibly, ensuring proper recycling and waste management procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, refrigerators, and dishwashing stations to prevent contamination.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for all team members.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by helping with dish clearing or setting up service areas as needed.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Prior kitchen or hotel experience demonstrating familiarity with culinary operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices essential for maintaining cleanliness.
