Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising bar staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
A background in restaurant or hotel experience, along with culinary knowledge, is highly desirable to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold our high standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction
- Manage the organisation of the bar area, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations
- Lead by example in serving customers, providing excellent hospitality and ensuring a positive guest experience
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food production, alcohol service, and workplace safety
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols, food safety procedures, and operational standards
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
- Experience in serving beverages and managing bar operations effectively
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant or barista work is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining high standards of service
- A friendly demeanour combined with professional communication skills
