Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Event Stewards to join our team for various upcoming events. This role involves ensuring the safety, security, and overall positive experience of attendees. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills, a professional demeanour, and the ability to manage crowd control effectively. This position offers valuable experience in event management and hospitality within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests, providing clear information and directions as needed
- Monitor event areas to ensure safety and security protocols are upheld
- Manage crowd flow and prevent overcrowding in designated zones
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Enforce event rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all attendees
- Support event staff in logistical tasks such as ticket checks or guiding guests to facilities
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the event to deter inappropriate behaviour
- Assist with emergency procedures if required, including evacuation or first aid coordination
Skills
- Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Experience in hospitality or guest services is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Organised with good attention to detail to ensure smooth event operations
- Physically fit, capable of standing for extended periods and managing crowd control tasks effectively
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in lively environments, prioritise guest satisfaction, and demonstrate professionalism at all times. Prior experience in management, hospitality, or guest services will be considered an asset.
