I am looking for a Personal Care Assistant to support me in my home, in a part-time position. I am looking for somebody who is caring, trustworthy and has a good work ethic, and who is kind and empathetic. You should be able to assist with daily care activities and provide person-centred support, and be open to doing a range of tasks I might require as my needs vary day to day, and week to week.

Adult: PA - Day rate between 6am - 10pm, Monday to Sunday
Gross £14.24
Net £12.71
If PA is self-employed: Net: £13.62
In addition, if the PA is self-employed, you should invoice me for your services and hold your own liability insurance.
The PA would support me 3 times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Time: 8am
- To support with maintaining personal hygiene and appearance; to encourage and support with personal care (as needed) and dressing.
- To support meet nutritional needs that involves breakfast preparation and encouragement to eat and drink adequately including Fortisips.
Managing my home
1.5 hours per week (date/time tbc)
- To support with maintaining a habitable living environment that involves a hygiene clean, hoovering and laundry including changing bedding as needed and hanging clothing on heated clothes air.
Eating well
1.5 hours per week (date/time tbc)
- To support with weekly shopping for food/essentials to meet my modified diet due to Crohn's disease.
2 hours per week (date/time tbc)
- To support with batch cooking meals for the week, in line with maintaining a nutritious diet that involves preparing meals and drinks, and encouragement to eat and drink adequately. Meals and fluid intake are based on whether I am in a flare-up or remission to support managing symptoms.
Total weekly hours: 7.5
Contingency hours: AM, 45mins x 4 days (3 hours) - Tasks as above
PM, 45mins x 7 days (5.25 hours)
Time: tbc
- To support personal care and dressing (as needed).
- To support with meeting nutritional needs that involves meal preparation and drinks with encouragement to eat and drink adequately.
Total weekly hours 8.25 x 24 weeks = *198 hours
These hours are to be use throughout the financial year, during times of debility due to flare-ups/ fatigue/severe pain. The PAs will need to flexible to ensure I am supported in times of need.

There is funding so that PPL can carry out any DBS checks that are required, and Payroll Plus services that provide pension calculations, liability insurance, payments of NI and Tax contributions and holiday payments.
Pay: £12.71-£13.62 per hour
