Dance&Arts delivers engaging extracurricular clubs and creative enrichment programmes in primary schools across London and the UK. Our mission is to inspire children through high-quality learning experiences that build confidence, creativity, communication, and curiosity.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable teachers to deliver our Debate and Fun with Spanish afterschool clubs during the Autumn Term.
Whether you're a language teacher, tutor, drama practitioner, public speaking coach, or experienced workshop leader, we'd love to hear from you.
Available Opportunities
Debate Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Walthamstow, London E17
Day: Wednesday
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Contract: 9 September – 16 December
Children: Years 3–5 (ages 8–10)
Pay: £35 per hour
Lead engaging debate sessions that help children develop confidence in public speaking, active listening, teamwork, and critical thinking. Through games, discussions, and structured debates, you'll encourage pupils to express their ideas clearly while respecting different viewpoints.
Fun with Spanish Afterschool Club Teacher
Location: Islington, London EC1R
Day: Wednesday
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Contract: 16 September – 25 November
Children: Reception & Year 1 (ages 5–6)
Pay: £40 per hour
Deliver fun and interactive beginner Spanish sessions using songs, games, storytelling, movement, and creative activities. We encourage teachers to bring their own personality and creativity while making language learning enjoyable, engaging, and accessible for young learners.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging weekly afterschool sessions for primary-aged children.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage participation and build confidence.
- Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Encourage children's communication, collaboration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Manage behaviour positively and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and the Dance&Arts team.
- Arrive punctually and be fully prepared for each session.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching or working with primary-aged children.
- Experience teaching debate, public speaking, English, Spanish, languages, drama, or delivering educational workshops.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and able to commit for the full Autumn Term.
Desirable Skills
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker (for the Spanish role).
- Experience delivering extracurricular clubs or enrichment activities.
- Safeguarding and First Aid training.
