Fixed term for 18 months, 29.6 hours per week
The University of Huddersfield is seeking a Senior Disability and Inclusion Adviser to join the dedicated and busy Disability Service working alongside disabled students at the University for a fixed term contract of 18 months.
You will be involved in projects around the development of inclusive practice within teaching, learning and assessment, in the development of resources to enhance and support the experience of disabled students and in addressing physical and digital accessibility issues. You will devise, deliver and review disability training and CPD to colleagues across the University. Playing a key role in the development of practice and policy within Disability Services, you will offer advice and guidance to disabled students and support colleagues in their roles as Disability Advisers.
You will be educated to degree level or have an appropriate professional qualification and have substantial experience and expertise relevant to the role. You will have significant experience in case management and the application of disability legislation in educational settings. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, coordinate and manage projects, prioritise work and deal with urgent enquiries when they arise.
