HGV Recovery Vehicle Driver – Leyland Depot
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30, plus night call-out rota and weekend rota duties

Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV licence (appropriate category for recovery vehicles)
- Ideally live within 10 minutes of our Leyland depot to meet emergency call-out response times
- Willingness to participate in night-time and weekend call-out rotas
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS/CRB Check
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to working within a 24/7 vehicle recovery operation
Desirable Requirements
- Previous vehicle recovery experience
- IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) certification
- Experience operating slide-bed recovery vehicles and/or heavy recovery vehicles
Full training and certification will be provided for the right candidate.
About the Role
AAA Recovery is seeking a professional and motivated HGV Recovery Vehicle Driver to join our established team based at our Leyland depot.
The successful candidate will primarily operate one of our modern, fully equipped 10–26 tonne slide-bed recovery vehicles, attending road traffic collisions, vehicle breakdowns, and other roadside incidents. Duties will involve recovering and transporting vehicles on behalf of a wide range of clients, predominantly across the North of England.
For suitably experienced candidates, opportunities are also available to undertake heavy recovery operations alongside general vehicle recovery work.

Additional Information
Due to the nature of our contracts with local authorities and police services, all successful applicants will be required to complete and pass a DBS/CRB check before employment can commence.
The vehicle recovery industry operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and therefore requires individuals who can demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and a strong work ethic.
