Maintenance Manager – Garden & Landscape Maintenance
MRW Maintenance Ltd
London (West London–based role)
Full-time | Permanent
Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our garden maintenance operation.
This role is suited to someone with a strong background in contracts garden maintenance, who is comfortable managing teams, standards, and client expectations, and who brings solid horticultural knowledge to the table. Some landscaping experience is useful, but the core of this role is maintenance management, not project delivery.
MRW Maintenance operates across high-quality residential gardens and selected commercial sites. The business has grown quickly, and the priority now is to embed a stable, experienced operational lead who can run the maintenance side confidently and consistently.
Location & Working Pattern
Our maintenance sites are predominantly across West London, with a strong concentration around Chiswick, Acton, Ealing and Shepherd’s Bush, and some regular work in South-West London.
The Maintenance Manager will not be required to attend every site daily. The role is a mix of:
- Working from our office in Acton (W3)
- Site visits as required for quality checks, team support, or client meetings
- Time spent meeting clients, pricing work, or attending meetings locally
- Occasional remote working where appropriate
Being comfortable moving between these modes of working is essential.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the full delivery of maintenance operations. This includes planning and scheduling works, managing teams and subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and supporting client retention and enhancement through informed planting and maintenance proposals.
This is a role for someone who already knows how to run maintenance contracts, not someone learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day garden maintenance operations across all sites
- Oversee maintenance contracts and service-level delivery standards
- Plan and schedule works for teams and subcontractors
- Carry out site visits and quality checks where required
- Handle operational client queries and resolve issues professionally
- Ensure health & safety compliance, including RAMS
- Monitor labour efficiency and operational performance
- Prepare planting enhancement plans and maintenance-led improvement proposals
- Produce quotations and estimates for planting and maintenance works
Who This Role Suits
This role will suit you if:
- You have experience managing maintenance contracts and service-level delivery
- You have significant experience in garden or grounds maintenance management
- You’ve managed maintenance contracts, teams, or multiple sites
- You have strong plant knowledge and horticultural understanding
- You’re comfortable producing planting plans, quotes, and estimates
- You’re organised, commercially aware, and solutions-focused
- You communicate clearly with both clients and site teams
- You hold a full UK driving licence
- You’re comfortable travelling across West and South-West London as part of your role
