Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Line Marking Operative to join our team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in line marking, maintenance, and management within a dynamic environment. The position involves working on-site to assist with the preparation, application, and upkeep of line markings on various surfaces, primarily in outdoor settings. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of surfaces for line marking, including cleaning and surface inspection
- Operate line marking equipment under supervision, ensuring accurate application of markings
- Support maintenance tasks related to line marking machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Help with organising materials and managing stock levels for ongoing projects
- Contribute to site safety by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting hazards
- Drive company vehicles as required for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements
- Basic understanding of management principles or willingness to learn management skills in a practical setting
- CSCS Card
- Experience or interest in maintenance work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is needed due to the need for vehicle operation and transportation duties
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills related to line marking, equipment operation, and site safety
