The Opportunity
Our Solutions and Optimisation team have an exciting and newly created opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Process and Compliance Manager where you will lead the development of the “One Gist Way” driving warehouse standardisation, creating consistent operating procedures and enhancing compliance systems across the Network.
This pivotal role will see you delivering operational excellence through process optimisation and drive scalable improvements that shape the future of our warehouse operations.
What you'll be doing
Reporting directly into the Head of Warehouse Design and Compliance you will be our operational and process excellence expert where you will:
- Develop, write and maintain all warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across our operations.
- Manage the SOP governance process, including version control, approvals, audits and document lifecycle.
- Design and implement centralised SOP and training record software, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Manage, maintain and enhance the Integrated Management System (IMS) in alignment with applicable standards.
- Define processes for manual handling equipment (MHE) telematics for operations.
- Plan, coordinate and support internal and external audits related to SOPs, MHE and IMS.
- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and root cause analysis sessions with operational teams.
- Define and improve the efficiency of processes through time and motion studies.
- Support the Head of Warehouse Design and Compliance with any additional projects as required.
This role requires flexibility on working location as travel is required across the UK (and possibly Ireland) therefore we are flexible location however your base location will be your closest site working in line with our hybrid working policy.
What we're looking for
To be successful in your application you will already be operating in an operational excellence, business process excellence or continuous improvement role specifically focused on improving warehousing processes and compliance, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG, 3PL or warehousing operation. You will have strong knowledge of standard operating procedure development, document control and workflow mapping. You will be familiar with MHE programs, safety standards and compliance expectations and proven experience of managing and maintain integrated management systems aligned to ISO or similar standards.
It goes without saying that you will be an excellent communicator, influencer and problem solver, knowledgeable in workflow mapping and time study and capable of leading cross functional initiatives. You will be proficient in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar operational improvement methodologies with a passion for uniformed processes and improvements.
Role details:
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, Car Allowance and Private Medical
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
