JB Autos Coleraine is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify vehicle faults
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repair tasks efficiently
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop safety and operational efficiency
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as required for complex repairs or modifications
- Execute heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and JB Autos standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of vehicle makes and models
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and mechanical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general workshop duties
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently under pressure
