Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ addiction histories, current needs, and treatment goals.
- Implement individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and client preferences.
- Co-Facilitate counseling sessions with addictions manager and counsellor including group activities, and educational workshops to promote recovery strategies.
- Maintain clear, detailed documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions in IT systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring seamless support across services.
- Provide ongoing support and motivation to clients, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate milestones.
- Ensure all activities adhere to confidentiality standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Proven communication skills to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in creating and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Relevant qualifications in addiction counseling, social work, psychology or related fields; certification as an Addictions Practitioner preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
