Bon Appetit is a well-established contract catering business delivering high-quality, fresh food at scale. We specialise in high-volume catering environments, particularly construction sites and similar operations, where speed, consistency and quality really matter.
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and energetic Support Chef to join our Catering Team.
We are looking for a Chef that:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' working experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety policies
- Has a passion for food
- Has excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude, working well in a team
- Shows initiative to take on new challenges and solves problems as they arise
- Flexibility to work across various shifts
Duties include:
- Preparing and cooking a wide variety of fresh meals to a rotating daily and weekly menu
- Collaborating and working well with Site Manager and Kitchen Assistants to ensure smooth operations
- Following recipes and presentation specifications
- Managing quality and portion control to ensure consistency ins service
- Storing and labelling ingredients safely and efficiently
- Monitoring stock levels and innovation to suit site needs
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards and company policies
Full time - Permanent - Immediate start
Monday - Friday 06:30-16:00
DUE TO OUR CLIENTS REQUIREMENTS YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING.
Please note: we require all staff to have the following qualifications before we can get them in the kitchen:
Allergen Awareness and Food Intolerances
COSHH Awareness for Hospitality
Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 for Catering
If you don’t already have these, please do not worry; we can set you up on our online learning platform (Tayl). Each course only takes around 30 minutes to complete, and once done, they are yours to keep!
