Our Homes Matter is a growing kitchen and home-installation business delivering more than 500 kitchen projects each year. We work with customers coordinating kitchen fitting, plumbing, electrics, tiling, decorating and associated building works.
We are looking for an ambitious Project and Operations Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our projects - from the point a customer is ready to proceed through installation, remedial works and final completion.
You will keep customers informed, coordinate fitters and trades, manage changing schedules, maintain accurate project information and make sure outstanding work is followed through to completion.
The role would suit a coordinator, an assistant project manager or a junior project manager from kitchens, fitted furniture, residential construction, maintenance or another fast - paced installation business.
What you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating multiple kitchen and residential installation projects at different stages;
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers and providing clear, proactive updates;
- Planning and maintaining schedules for builders;
- Writing project scopes and checking site information and dependencies before booking works;
- Monitoring and documenting installations;
- Responding quickly when schedules change, materials are missing or an issue arises on site;
- Logging defects and outstanding items, arranging return visits and following every action through to closure;
- Managing customer concerns professionally and helping resolve issues before they escalate;
- Keeping Salesforce, scheduling tools, trackers and project records accurate and up to date;
- Preparing and distributing clear job scopes and attendance information for operatives;
What we are looking for:
- Relevant experience in construction, kitchen or bathroom installations, fitted furniture, refurbishment, property maintenance or a similar trade-led environment
- Experience coordinating projects
- Strong planning skills and the ability to reorganise priorities when circumstances change
- A practical understanding of how residential works are sequenced
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A high level of organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive approach: you chase actions, spot risks and close loops without waiting to be reminded
- Good commercial judgement and an understanding that decisions affect time, cost and customer experience
- Confidence using CRM systems, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, email and shared trackers
- The ambition to grow into a broader project management or operations role
The person who will do well with us:
You will enjoy a busy environment where no two days are exactly the same. You will be comfortable making decisions with the information available, asking the right questions and keeping people accountable for agreed actions.
You will care about the customer experience, but you will also be practical. You can deliver difficult updates calmly, set realistic expectations and focus on the solution.
What we offer:
- Salary of £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience
- A central role in a growing installation business
- The opportunity to take real ownership rather than remain in a narrow support position
- Direct exposure to project delivery, customer operations, subcontractor management and business improvement

- A practical, fast-moving working environment where good ideas can be implemented quickly
