Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Ledger Assistant Accountant, on a 12-month contract. We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering an efficient and effective accounting service, using their skills day in and day out to make Games Workshop even better!
Working in a supportive finance team, we’re looking for someone who understands the importance of teamwork as you’ll prepare and process Ledger transactions for review by the Ledger Accountants. You’ll work together to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our accounting records whilst maintaining compliance with financial standards.
We’re looking for someone with an inquisitive nature and as you develop into the role, you’ll understand your business area as you prepare profit and loss, and balance sheet accounts for your allocated Ledger. You’ll be focused on consistency ensuring accurate classification of entries, representation of the statement of financial position and provide explanation of variances.
We’ll rely on you to support with the half and full year statutory reporting, maintaining an accurate and up to date listing of fixed assets, inter-company reconciliations, and helping with the completion of various compliance and tax returns
Taking a methodical approach, you’ll need to navigate through financial complexity ensuring you constantly strive to maintain compliance with financial standards.
You’ll be comfortable communicating effectively with staff at all levels of the business, being an excellent problem solver with a can-do attitude, and having both the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideally, you’ll be part qualified in Finance with a knowledge of fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, accruals and prepayments with proficiency in Excel and experience working in an accounting team.

Location: This position is granted on a hybrid working basis where you will be expected to work out of our head office in Lenton, Nottingham twice a week
