Purpose of job:
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.
The Electrical Site Supervisor will work within Zest’s Operations team to oversee the onsite construction of multiple EV projects from conception to completion. Reporting into their line manager, this Supervisor will assist in the smooth delivery of the installations according to our client’s requirements.
This role will require the Supervisor to undertake duties including but not limited to, pre-site surveys ensuring site suitability, supporting the appointed contractor during construction, site inspections and ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and reported upon.
Our deployment program is focused on providing exceptional customer experience from day one. The role works closely with the lead supervisor & technical delivery managers, as well as contractors, to make our installs happen safely and efficiently.
There will also be requirement to assist Zest’s Field service engineer team with site maintenance and commissioning, for which training will be available.
Due to the nature of the works travelling to and from various sites, a company vehicle will be provided for work use.
Key Accountabilities:
The role is responsible for the following:
- Ensuring Safety during on-site installations and maintenance activity
- Supervising installation of our charge points incl. site inductions, setting to work.
- Liasing with third-party contractors, to deliver high quality installations.
- Reporting on the progress of sites and installations within remit.
- Site surveys/capable of concept designs & site selection.
- Plus, any other duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of Site supervision
- BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations and EVCP installation code of practice
- EV equipment knowledge
- Civil and street works experience
- Knowledge / awareness of the building and CDM regulations
- H&S experience
- IT skills and excel knowledge
- General commercial awareness
- A good level of numeracy and attention to detail

- SSSTS or SMSTS
