What you’ll do
We are seeking to recruit a Solicitor (NQ – 2 years) to join our well-regarded Real Estate team in Bristol.
Our national Real Estate team provides a full spectrum of legal services to a diverse client base, including major institutional investors, developers, lenders, local authorities and private clients. We work with leading organisations across key sectors such as Investment, Real Estate Finance, Healthcare, Housebuilding and Development, Energy and Infrastructure, and Commercial Development.
In this role, you will work, closely with, and report directly to, Partner Ben Tarrant, gaining exposure to a fast-paced, client-focused environment that delivers high-quality advice on complex transactional property matters. You will work on landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals, corporate support, real estate finance, property and asset management fora broad range of clients – including landlords, tenants, corporates, lenders, charities and investors - with a significant focus on healthcare providers and services which will provide an opportunity to work with the wider multi-disciplinary healthcare client service team on a cross office basis. From the outset, you will benefit from a varied and stimulating workload, with the opportunity to develop your expertise in this growing and specialist area of real estate law.
As the team continues to grow, you will be encouraged to play an active role in business development from an early stage. This will include attending internal and external networking events, attending and contributing at conferences, seminars and webinars, building client relationships, and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking and supportive environment, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice while continuing to develop your career.
Who you are
Having trained and qualified (or be approaching qualification) with a well-regarded law firm, you will have gained experience across a range of real estate transactions, ideally with some exposure to landlord and tenant, corporate support and or real estate finance work.
You will demonstrate a genuine interest in working with clients on these matters, including within the healthcare sector, alongside a proactive approach and a clear desire to build and develop your expertise.
You will be a confident communicator with strong technical and analytical skills, capable of managing your time effectively to meet client expectations and deadlines. With a pragmatic and commercially minded approach, you will be keen to take ownership of matters (with appropriate supervision) and provide clear, concise advice aligned to clients’ objectives.
You will also have a genuine enthusiasm for real estate law and an interest in the wider issues affecting the sector, including planning, ESG considerations, market trends and policy developments.
Our clients value our commercial acumen and commitment to long-term relationships, so you will be personable, responsive and motivated to build trusted connections with both clients and colleagues.
You will be encouraged to develop your profile internally and externally, with access to client engagement opportunities, industry events and thought leadership initiatives that will enhance both your experience and professional reputation. An appetite for continuous learning and professional development is essential, along with a collaborative mindset and a drive to contribute to the team’s continued success.
