We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and managing a team of kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high levels of teamwork
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to specifications and presented attractively
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
- Support in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory efficiently
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any repairs or issues promptly
- Assist with cooking responsibilities during busy periods or special events as required
- Uphold organisational policies related to health & safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced culinary environment with attention to detail
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving protocols, and customer service standards is advantageous
- A recognised culinary qualification or relevant hospitality training is preferred but not essential
