Are you passionate about nurturing young minds through the Montessori method? We're looking for a dedicated Montessori Private Educator to join us in the Sheffield area, providing high-quality, personalised education in a warm and supportive environment.
In this rewarding role, you'll design and deliver engaging Montessori-inspired learning experiences tailored to the individual needs, interests and developmental stages of the children in your care. You'll play a key part in fostering independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Montessori-based lessons and activities across relevant curriculum areas
- Create a calm, prepared learning environment that encourages exploration and self-directed learning
- Observe, assess and record each child's progress, adapting your approach to support their growth
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and maintain open communication with families
- Encourage the development of practical life skills, social confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Ensure the safety, safeguarding and welfare of child in your care
- Flexibility, 20-30 hours a week
What we're looking for
- Recognised Montessori teaching qualification (AMI, MCI or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with children in a Montessori setting
- A genuine understanding of, and commitment to, Montessori principles and philosophy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and nurturing approach
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and up-to-date safeguarding knowledge
