Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, CAD, and materials handling. The position involves working with various tools and materials to meet production specifications efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
- Develop and input CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 and other relevant tools.
- Set up CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and materials are in place before operation.
- Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products within the warehouse environment.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain quality standards during production runs.
- Use hand tools for minor adjustments or assembly tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including programme changes and quality checks.
- Collaborate with the team on continuous improvement initiatives related to fabrication processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operation within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with CAM programming tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to milling, tooling, materials handling, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and programme adjustments.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable but not essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and machinery maintenance is advantageous.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling is preferred.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
