Job Summary
Halestone Restoration have an opening for an Estimator to our team to assist in securing specialist works nationwide.
As an Estimator your primary role will be vital in producing accurate costs for tenders via means of labour, plant and materials, as well as obtaining costs from other specialist contractors for our larger projects. A keen eye for detail is particularly required due to the nature of the works we carry out, primarily within the heritage sector, and previous works in this sector would be advantageous but not mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings thoroughly to develop accurate cost estimates.
- A strong team work ethic collaborating with project managers, bid writers, and suppliers to gather relevant pricing information.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals demonstrating costs both internally and externally of the company.
- Monitor tender scope changes and update enquiries and pricing accordingly to reflect the change.
- Assist in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail for precise cost calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of cost control principles to manage budgets efficiently throughout project lifecycles.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
