Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where your skills in serving and hospitality will be highly valued. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately
- Serve drinks and food promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure all beverages are prepared following food safety standards and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently, adhering to cash handling procedures
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks and menu items to enhance guest experience
- Uphold responsible serving practices, including recognising signs of intoxication and managing difficult situations professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guests
