Location: YORK : Haxby Region
Salary: £9 - £13 per hour
Total Sports are looking for a Play worker to join our team in the Haxby region of York on mornings or afternoons during term time that suit you and your comminttments
The days and hours we work are as follows :
Monday to Friday mornings 07:30-09:00 and 3:15pm - 5:30pm
We are flexible in the days available as this can be a job share or for one person.
If you have experience of working with children in a play setting or other settings that involves working closely with children of Primary School age, this role could be the one for you.
The role :
· Running great activities with the children before and after school within our setting which is based at a Primary School.
· Providing a safe and caring environment in line with relevant statutory guidance
· Providing children aged 4 to 12 years a range of play, learning and leisure activities
· You will help organise a daily routine that meets the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the children
Skills/Experience:
-caring
-engaging with children
wanting more experience working with children for your future role
This would suit students too, who are looking to gain experience in the childcare sector, such as trainee teachers or sports coaches or childcare.
Desirable:
· NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Playwork/Childcare
- related childcare or education related qualification
- Willingness to learn
