Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Scaffolder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding regularly to identify and rectify any safety hazards or defects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, or electricians to ensure scaffolding supports their work effectively.
- Ensure all scaffolding is secure and stable before use, adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and materials efficiently on-site.
- Follow all site-specific safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Assist in the transportation of scaffolding components and materials around the site as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in scaffolding or related construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry.
- Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffolding assembly and disassembly.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to working at height and on construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics related to scaffold layouts.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure safe installation practices.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely.
