Hours: 20 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 3pm - 7pm
Salary: £11,660 per annum (not pro rata)

About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team and play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment where children and young people can thrive.
This is much more than a cleaning role – you'll be helping to ensure our pupils have a safe, healthy and comfortable environment to learn and grow every day. If you take pride in your work, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note:
- Term Time: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 7:00pm
- Employees are also required to work the equivalent of two weeks during school holiday periods.
- Holiday working dates will be agreed in advance and may involve longer shifts (for example 9:00am – 5:00pm) to complete contracted hours over fewer working days.
What you will be doing
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness across allocated areas of the school
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
- Following cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Supporting a safe, caring and healthy environment for children and young people
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the Facilities Manager
What you will bring
- Has previous cleaning experience within a school environment (essential)
- Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Is reliable, organised and able to work efficiently
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
- Understands the importance of maintaining a safe environment for children and young people
About Us
Smallbrook School is currently increasing capacity from 50 students to 80 and having a large investment in our school site developing KS2 and sixth form provision. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs including a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.
