Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards like Biryanis, South and North Indian Dishes, Curries Etc
- Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team
- Extensive culinary knowledge across various cuisines and techniques
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- Experience in menu development and food presentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including serving procedures
