Weekend Egg Packer
Free Range Egg Unit near Gnosall.
Weekends only: 10:00am–2:00pm
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Weekend Egg Packer to join our team at a free range egg unit near Gnosall.
Roles & Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Packing eggs from a conveyor belt and production line.
- Sorting eggs as they come off the production line.
- Checking and packing eggs carefully and efficiently.
- General tidying and housekeeping around the egg packing area.
- Following all farm, food hygiene, health and safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Carrying out some manual handling when required.
Training & Requirements
- Full training and PPE will be provided.
- Ongoing training is mandatory to ensure all procedures and standards are maintained.
- A hardworking, reliable and conscientious attitude is essential.
- Applicants must be able to travel reliably to and from work, as the unit is in a rural location with limited public transport.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to carry out the duties safely.
- Applicants under 18 may be considered, subject to appropriate risk assessments, supervision and applicable legal restrictions.
Important Bird Flu / Biosecurity Requirements
Due to Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) biosecurity requirements, we are unfortunately unable to consider applicants who keep their own poultry.
We are also unable to employ anyone who works concurrently at another poultry unit. This is due to the increased risk of disease transmission between poultry flocks.
