Construction Estimator / Site Surveyor Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Estimator / Site Surveyor to join our growing team operating across West and North Yorkshire.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong technical background who is confident in client-facing environments and experienced in conducting site surveys, assessing project requirements, identifying practical solutions, and preparing accurate cost estimates. The successful candidate will support a diverse portfolio of construction, renovation, interior design, maintenance, and specialist works projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and surveys throughout West and North Yorkshire.
- Undertake detailed site assessments and accurately measure works.
- Gather and evaluate project information to support estimating activities.
- Prepare comprehensive quotations, estimates, and cost analyses.
- Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Identify project risks, constraints, and opportunities prior to commencement.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders when required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing professional guidance and support.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, site surveying, quantity surveying, project management, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience within renovation and interior design, commercial maintenance, roofing, building fabric, or specialist construction sectors.
- Familiarity with estimating software, pricing tools, and tender portals.
- Quantity Surveying qualification or other relevant construction-related qualification.
