vServices Limited is looking for a Network Engineer who will provide technical support for the Network devices, also contributes to the evaluation, design, and installation of Network infrastructure. Specific Products to be Supported Include
Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Certifications (CCNP/ JNCIS) and or Linux Certification
Experience – 5- 7 Years
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring systems performance.
Regularly installing operating system patches and firmware upgrades for system stability.
Maintaining systems documentation including operating system installation and system configuration sheets.
Installing and configuring Linux and Solaris operating system and system software on servers.
Collects and prepare system data for capacity and planning purposes.
Monitors and tune appropriate operating system parameters to ensure optimum level of performance.
Perform security audits to ensure compliance.
Review performance/resource utilization graphs for all production systems and provide recommendations to management for doing capacity planning.
Perform monitoring of IT infrastructure which includes production servers, network devices, network paths, connectivity, storage, voice quality/paths and take appropriate notification, troubleshooting and follow-up until issue is fixed.
Keep our mailing infrastructure up and running.
Keep our authentication infrastructure up and running.
Keep track of SSL certificates, their renewal before expiry and update all systems for new certificates
Interface within OPS, engineering, PMO and CS management as well as external customers and vendors on project/operational matters.
Competencies
Experience with multi-tiered, remote, large scale solaris/linux deployments and systems administration.
Email, LDAP, instant messaging deployment.
Patch management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Cisco & Juniper Certifications such as CCNP/ JNCIS or equivalent
Network Management.
Data Center Infrastructure.
Incident handling.

Must be able to work in a team environment managing servers across different and remote locations
