Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organised environment, and supporting daily shop operations. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanour, a proactive attitude, and relevant experience in janitorial duties or customer service. A valid driving licence is advantageous for this position. Responsibilities
- Assisting customers with their enquiries and providing exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Operating the shop’s cash register and handling transactions accurately
- Restocking shelves and organising products to maintain an attractive display
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop, including cleaning surfaces, floors, and other areas as required
- Supporting with stock management, including receiving deliveries and organising stockroom areas
- Assisting with general shop maintenance and ensuring health and safety standards are met
- Driving company vehicles for stock deliveries or collection when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific duties
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting delivery tasks
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock counts

Pay: £25,420.00-£43,450.16 per year
