We’re looking for a Hygiene Team Leader to join our team at Mars Petcare, Castle Cary. At Sodexo, you’re valued for being you. In this role, you’ll take a hands-on leadership approach, supporting the day-to-day delivery of cleaning and hygiene services within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do

Support the organisation and day-to-day running of hygiene and cleaning activities across the site

Lead by example with a hands-on approach, working alongside the team to deliver high cleaning standards

Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed safely, hygienically, and in line with site procedures

Promote a strong health & safety culture, championing a Zero Harm mindset across the team

Support the training, onboarding, and buddying of new team members

Monitor and maintain cleaning standards, escalating any issues where required

Manage PPE stock levels, ensuring accurate records, ordering, and timely distribution

Build a one-team culture, working collaboratively with colleagues and site stakeholders
What you’ll bring

Previous cleaning or hygiene experience within a commercial or manufacturing environment

Experience in a supervisory or team leader role (or readiness to step up)

Good understanding of health & safety procedures

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards

Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team

Clear communication skills and a professional approach

Flexible, proactive attitude with a willingness to be hands-on
