Job Overview
The foodbank part of the role is funded by the Trussell Trust, who provide food
bank services at Buckfastleigh. It aims to provide an advice service for
Buckfastleigh residents, including face to face advice at the Buckfastleigh Food
Bank on Friday mornings. The role will provide general advice and support, but
will focus on financial inclusion and income maximisation, including:
● Means-tested benefits
● Disability-related benefits
● Debt and financial capability
The Advice via Video is funded by Bovey Tracey and is available to the residents
of that community.
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive adviser, with good IT
literacy and excellent communication skills to:
- provide support and advice on a full range of Citizens Advice enquiry
areas
- resolve enquiries, taking a casework approach where appropriate.
- work effectively with local referral partners, to achieve the best outcomes
for clients
