Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Sous to help lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen and food production experience in a fresh cook environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary standards. This role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring food safety compliance, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve excellence in food preparation and service.
Duties
- Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained across all dishes.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise team performance.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to meet operational deadlines and quality expectations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and presentation to enhance customer experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
- Support the onboarding and ongoing training of new staff members.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a busy fresh cook kitchen.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen setting.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, food presentation, and menu development.
