Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Event Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and premises during various events. This role involves monitoring crowds, preventing loss or unauthorised access, and responding promptly to any incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a professional demeanour, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. This position offers an engaging environment where safety is paramount, and teamwork is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance of event areas using CCTV systems to monitor activity continuously.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorised access and manage crowd control effectively.
- Perform loss prevention duties by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid when necessary.
- Enforce event policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among attendees and staff.
- Liaise with event organisers, law enforcement, and emergency services as required.
- Keep detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security concerns or occurrences during shifts.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to ensure all areas are secure and hazards are promptly addressed.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is preferred but not mandatory; training will be available for successful candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance are required to interact confidently with the public and team members.
